The Bars chart group includes 4 chart styles: Plain, Clustered, Stacked, and 100% Stacked.
This chart group is supported by all the data sources.
The following bar chart types are available:
- Plain (based on 1 metric and 1 attribute). You can define color by metric.
- Clustered (based on 1 metric and 2 attributes)
- Stacked (based on 1 metric and 2 attributes)
- 100% Stacked (based on 1 metric and 2 attributes)
If you choose the Bars chart type, by default the Plain bar chart is displayed. To use another bar chart type (for example, Stacked), on the Chart Style pane, expand the Settings section and select the required chart type:
CONFIGURING DEFAULT SETTINGS FOR BARS
On the Charts page (for your selected data source), under the Standard tab, select Bars :
Configure the settings as follows:
Group - select the attribute.
Group Limit - specify the number of attribute items that you want to be displayed on the chart.
Group Sort - select a metric or the attribute by which the attribute items, you have selected to group by, will be sorted. Select the sorting order.
Sub-Group - select the attribute which the attributes you want to visualize are to be grouped by. Select the sorting order.
Sub-Group Limit - specify the number of attribute items to be displayed for each attribute that you have selected in the Sub-Group list.
Sub-Group Color Palette - select the palette and enable the legend if needed.
Sub-Group Sort - select a metric or the attribute by which the attribute items, you have selected in the Sub-Group list , will be sorted. Select the sorting order.
Metric - select the metric by which you want to analyze the selected attribute.
Bar Color - select the metric that will be denoted by the bar color. Enable the legend if required and select the palette.
- Specify the chart name and add a description if needed.
- Click Save .
