Enabling Distinct Counts
Users with editing access to data sources can enable distinct counts for specific fields. The Distinct Count function returns unique value results when analyzing data. For example, the number of unique customers in a sales database, unique UPC codes for a category of products, or the number of trucks in a company's fleet can be discovered using this function.
Essentially, Distinct Count determines the number of unique values in a column or expression within a selected table by comparing all the records within the dataset. Within Zoomdata, the Distinct Count function is accessible from the Sources page. To navigate to this page, on the Settings menu, click Sources .
You can enable this feature while you add a new source or when you edit an existing one.
Within the selected data source, navigate to the Fields tab.
To enable this feature for a specific field, identify the Field ID and select the corresponding checkbox in the Distinct Count column.
After checking all the desired Field IDs, click Save .
