Floating Bubbles

The Floating Bubbles chart type is based on two metrics and two attributes.

This chart type is supported by all the data sources except Cloudera Search . It is supported by Solr v5.2 and higher.

  1. On the Charts page (for your selected data source), under the Standard tab, select Floating Bubbles .

  1. Configure the settings as follows:
    Y Axis - select the metric for the y axis.
    Size - select the metric to be visualized by the bubble size.
    Group 1 - select the attribute.
    Group 1 Limit - specify the number of attribute items to be displayed on the chart.
    Group 1 Color Palette - define the color settings for the attribute. Select the Display Legend checkbox to view legend on the chart.
    Group 1 Sort - select an attribute or a metric and the sorting type reverse alphabetical or alphabetical; descending or ascending.
    Group 2 - select another attribute to be displayed on the x axis.
    Group 2 Limit - specify the number of attribute items to be displayed on the x axis of the chart.
    Group 2 Sort - select the attribute or a metric and the sorting type.

  1. Specify the name of the chart and add the description.
  2. Click Save .


To view your chart, do the following:

  1. Click the menu icon.
  2. Click Data Sources and select the desired data source.
  3. Select Floating Bubbles . The chart is displayed.

You can now explore and interact with your dataset using the zoom function on the map and the left menu options.
