Identifying the visualizationID of a Chart
While working with the Zoomdata SDK, you may need to find a chart's visualizationID. For example, to programmatically identify a chart's settings using a REST API call, you must have the visualizationID handy.
To identify a chart's visualizationID:
- Launch the Zoomdata client application in your browser.
- Select the hamburger menu ( ).
- Select Data Sources .
- Select the data source for the chart whose visualizationID you wish to identify, for instance, the Real Time Sales sample data source.
- Select the chart whose visualizationID you wish to identify, for instance, Pie . The chart appears displaying data from the data source that you selected.
Find the last number of the URL, after the hyphen ( - ) at the end of the URL, in the address bar of your browser. This number is the visualizationID of the chart that you have selected.
After you have identified a chart's visualizationID, you can use it in other steps such as calling REST API methods.
