Identifying the visualizationID of a Chart

While working with the Zoomdata SDK, you may need to find a chart's visualizationID. For example, to programmatically identify a chart's settings using a REST API call, you must have the visualizationID handy.

To identify a chart's visualizationID:

  1. Launch the Zoomdata client application in your browser.
  2. Select the hamburger menu ( ).
  3. Select Data Sources .
  4. Select the data source for the chart whose visualizationID you wish to identify, for instance, the Real Time Sales sample data source.
  5. Select the chart whose visualizationID you wish to identify, for instance, Pie . The chart appears displaying data from the data source that you selected.
  6. Find the last number of the URL, after the hyphen ( - ) at the end of the URL, in the address bar of your browser. This number is the visualizationID of the chart that you have selected.

After you have identified a chart's visualizationID, you can use it in other steps such as calling REST API methods.
