Packed Bubble Charts

Packed bubble charts are based on two metrics and one attribute and is supported by all the data sources.

Configuring the Default Settings

To configure the default settings for packed bubble charts:

  1. On the Standard subtab of the Charts tab (for your selected data source configuration), select Packed Bubbles.

  2. Configure the settings as follows:

    Setting Description

    Group By

    Select the group by attribute.
    Group By Limit Specify the number of attribute items to be displayed on the chart.
    Group By Sort Select an attribute or metric and the sorting type. You can define the default aggregation function: SUM, AVG, MAX, MIN, or (for some data sources) LAST VALUE. See Available Metric Functions.
    Bubble Size Select a metric that affects the size of the bubbles in the chart. You can define the default aggregation function: SUM, AVG, MAX, MIN, or (for some data sources) LAST VALUE. See Available Metric Functions.
    Bubble Color

    Select a metric to be visualized by the bubble color. You can define the default aggregation function: SUM, AVG, MAX, MIN, or (for some data sources) LAST VALUE. See Available Metric Functions.

    Number of colors Select the number of colors to use in the chart.
    Display Legend Select this checkbox if you want the legend to be displayed on the chart.
    Legend Type Select the color palette or color range that you want to use (Color Palette or Color Range). If you select Color Palette, also select the palette you want used.
  3. Specify the name of the chart and add the description.

  4. Click Save.
