Exporting a Dashboard
You can export your dashboards in a variety of formats. Exported dashboards enable you to share your data with others or in the case of the JSON configuration export, to transfer a dashboard to another Zoomdata environment.
|When exporting, be aware that special characters are not supported. If your visualization name or the name of the data source contains special characters, you need to update the name before continuing.|
Dashboards can be exported in the following formats:
- PNG Screenshot (as an image)
- PDF file (as an image)
- JSON configuration (for the whole dashboard)
Exported dashboard JSON files can be imported into other Zoomdata environments running the same version. See Importing a Dashboard.
To export a dashboard:
On the dashboard, select Export from the dashboard drop-down () menu. The Export dialog displays.
On the Export dialog, select the format for the export. If you select Screenshot (png) or Dashboard Configuration (json) format, the appropriate PNG or JSON file is downloaded to your computer.
For PDF files:
Add a header or footer.
You can also add a user name or timestamp to the PDF.
Click Export. The PDF file is downloaded to your computer.
