Zoomdata Introduces High Performance Visual Analytics on Amazon Web Services

Enabling access to the most data sources across the enterprise on AWS

REDWOOD CITY, CA -- (Marketwired – March 14, 2016) -- Zoomdata, developers of a data visualization and analytics system optimized for big data, today announced Zoomdata for Amazon Web Services (AWS), making it fast and easy to connect, stream and visually interact with big data from the most sources in AWS and across the enterprise.

Zoomdata’s extensive list of Smart Connectors not only includes support for big data sources such as Amazon’s Redshift, Amazon Simple Serve (S3), Hive and Amazon Elastic MapReduce (EMR), Amazon Aurora and Amazon Kinesis, but also supports leading Hadoop distributions from Cloudera and Hortonworks, as well as Spark, Solr, MongoDB, MemSQL and more. Smart Connectors for more traditional data sources such as Oracle, MySQL, SQLServer, flat files and API’s are also available.

“This is great news for customers who want the simplicity of deploying on AWS combined with the performance of Zoomdata, all managed and invoiced through a single AWS account,” said Russ Cosentino, vice president of Channels at Zoomdata. “Businesses can spin up a Zoomdata Server and then connect, stream and visualize their data in minutes, whether it’s from sources on AWS or on premises. Since Zoomdata is architected for big data, users can visualize billions of rows of data in a matter of seconds using an intuitive interface that is designed for the business user.”

Availability and Pricing

Zoomdata for AWS is available either hourly (starting at $1.91 / hour) or as an annual subscription, which includes premium support. Each option includes a 30-day free trial. License costs are billed directly through AWS accounts (AWS services are billed separately). Organizatio ns can also purchase licenses directly from Zoomdata.

Zoomdata, which is architected to leverage the processing power of modern data environments such as Amazon Redshift, takes the query to the data to deliver actionable visual analytics, charts and dashboards against billions of rows of data, within seconds. This “schema on read” approach eliminates the need to move copies of data to redundant repositories that are built around proprietary schema’s or pre-aggregated results. Instead, “schema on read” means users can have an interactive experience with all of their data, wherever it resides, in seconds.

Zoomdata is natively architected for both cloud and on-premises deployments using an optimized microservices approach that delivers visual analysis of big data sets in seconds. Zoomdata's patented Data Sharpening™ technology delivers the industry’s fastest visual analytics for real-time streaming or historical data, while Zoomdata Fusion enables the joining of big data with other modern and traditional datastores - without the need to move or transform data.
